Today we did some really sweet work with actions (a fantastic theatre device), determining what all of our “kids in the hall” are doing to make Cooper Regional School come alive. At CRS, like many schools, there are groups of kids that choose to hang out together Though these groups are a little exaggerated from a normal school, we trust you’ll see bits of people you know in them.
Each clique chose precise actions that they can use to show the audience who they are and what they’re all about. They had to come up with very specific movements that are both recognizable and repeatable to depict the same scene multiple times from multiple points of view.
If we did our job today, you should see these clearly on stage in a little over a month from today! See you there!

Rehearsal for the year’s Winter Sort of Thing, “It’s About Time!” This clip is from an early rehearsal. We have scripts in hand and are working on objectives and actions. The actors are Eastern University students, a Yes! And… employee and a camper at one of our programs. They are playing the part of some very nervous high school freshmen. Learn more about Yes!
