Yes! And…’s high school performing arts company, SHADOW, is on the fringe! (Literally.) SHADOW Company is also a big part of our “Winter Sort of Thing” so you’ll be sure to see some familiar faces.
SHADOW Company is premiering their new performance art piece, “Flash!” at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Flash! takes a hard and honest look at the current climate in today’s urban teenage culture. Specifically, they explore the explosive feelings that are behind many of the violent flash mob incidents that have taken place in Philly over the past few months.
The play is already garnering great reviews and press. Go to the website for more info, to order tickets, and to read the press coverage.
Flash! runs about 45 minutes, is performed in public to a standing audience. Tickets are $10 and the location will be emailed or texted to you – follow the directions when you order tickets. Flash! runs Sept. 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 all at 7pm. While most of Yes! And…’s plays are for the whole family, this particular production will probably be best for those in middle school or above. It would probably be rated PG-13 were it a movie.
We’ll see you there!
